Helsinki Pride is an annual LGBTIQ event, which has become very popular in the Finnish capital within a past few years. It was arranged in the last weekend of June, and also this year the event offered some nice surprises for Eurovision fans.

The Finnish DJ legend Darude, who had represented Finland in the ESC 2019, performed in the Pride Park Party on Saturday. Darude had a brilliant set: included were his Eurovision entry “Look away” and the UMK candidate “Superman”, both of which he performed together with Sebastian Rejman, who was responsible for the vocals.

Darude also performed his special remix of this year’s Austrian entry, PÆNDA‘s “Limits” and two of his hits: the global trance hit “Sandstorm” and his newest single, the brilliant “Hide” with Audioventure and JVMIE.

Another ESC-related artist in the party was Catharina Zühlke, the sultry and strong-voiced singer who had become second in the Finnish preselections, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) in 2017. She performed her UMK entry “Perfect villain” as well as many of her old and new hits.

There was also a very sweet and energetic show by a young singer, actor and Youtuber Tuure Boelius, who was awarded with a “Gay of the Year” prize in the Finnish QX Gay Gala in 2017. Remember the name, as we will probably hear from him again!
